| Average credit cards are usually low on features and carry higher rates when compared to other credit cards. Most of the credit cards that consumers will find online are designed for people with very good credit or poor credit. However, in todayrsquo;s market, the average credit scores nationwide for consumers have been trending downward. This is forcing banks and credit card issuers to focus on consumers who have fair to average credit more so than they have in the past. |

The Fair Debt Collection Act - Use it to Your Advantage

| Many people are aware that the Government has passed regulations that regulate how credit collection companies can operate. However, very few people are aware of how they can apply these regulations to their advantage when dealing with a collection company. The piece of legislation we are referring to is the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This act regulates collection companies and protects consumers from shady collection practices.
Unfortunately, shady collection practices go on everyday because the average consumer is unaware of their rights under this act. We have outlined, what we feel, is the most important protection that the act provides to the average consumer. There are plenty of other rules and regulations you should know about when dealing with collection agencies, this is only one example.

Can Credit Cards for Fair Credit Replace Mortgages?

In today’s hectic financial times credit card use by the average consumer is at an all time high. When we consider that food prices are at an all-time high, gas is through the roof and our property isnrsquo;t worth what it used to be you can start to see why. In the past, credit cards had a worthy adversary called a home equity line of credit, not any more. In today’s mortgage environment home equity lines are only available for those with the best credit, and that’s if their house values aren’t dropping. (more…)

Fair Credit Credit Cards

At their inception credit cards were reserved almost exclusively for the financially elite. They were originally meant to extend the buying power of those who did not want to bother handling that pesky cash or the indignity of having to write a check. Look at us now, McDonalds reported last year that “plastic” will soon over-take cash transactions at their windows. Who-da thunk it? (more…)
