How We Got Started

In 1987, Directly out of college (Johnson & Wales University), Aubrey Clark began his career in retail working for Rex TV in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He began as a salesman and was quickly promoted to assistant manager, general manager and eventually a district financial planner. Under his tenure, his medium sized store in Chattanooga Tennessee climbed from 180th in sales volume to number 2 in a chain of over 200 stores. Aubrey’s unique use of credit sourcing, employee training and finance management was attributed to this success.

In 1990 he joined GM to launch the very first dealership for Saturn Motors in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He originally worked as salesmen but quickly evolved into finance management. During his career in the automobile business, Aubrey handled finance management for GM, Toyota, BMW and Mazda. In 1999 Aubrey left the car industry and joined the growing mortgage industry in Atlanta Georgia and built his first website to help his future customers, lendfast.com.

Aubrey began working for First Atlantic Mortgage as a Loan Officer and eventually became a branch manager for their Marietta, Georgia Branch. At First Atlantic Mortgage, Aubrey was responsible for increasing closings , profitability and loan officer training. During his tenure at First Atlantic Mortgage, his branch surpassed all company branch sales records held by the largest branch office located in Atlanta Georgia.

On the heels of his success at First Atlantic Mortgage, Aubrey landed a exclusive contract with one of Atlanta’s largest home builders, Eric Chafin Homes. In 2004 he left First Atlantic Mortgage with his new found business to work for Opteum Financial service, a direct lender better suited for the volume of business he was now generating. At this time, Aubrey began using Lendfast.com as a tool to help his credit challenged borrowers repair their credit so that they could qualify for better mortgages.

Soon after that, Lendfast.com rapidly grew to be more than a website designed to benefit his local clients. His credit repair, mortgage and credit card tutorials gained national attention from major media outlets such as the San Francisco Chronicle, the LA Chronicle and other reputable media sources. In 2006 Aubrey resigned from the mortgage business in order to focus on his rapidly growing online ventures.

In 2007 Aubrey founded Aunica Media LLC, a media company comprised of multiple company owned websites that focused on financial matters with the specific goal to help credit challenged consumers. Today, Aunica Media LLC owns and operates over a hundred websites spanning multiple industries and platforms, including DirectBanc.com.

Aubrey Clark is still an Author and editor for DirectBanc.com and Lendfast.com as well as the CEO of Aunica Media. Aubrey is a native of Destin, Florida but now lives in Atlanta Georgia with his wife and four children and attributes ALL of his success to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
