.. when you use a blended airmiles credit card you are limited to how you accumulate and spend them. Meaning, "Frequent Flyer Miles" are a different "currency" that Capital One's air miles. You cannot build frequent flyer accounts that accumulate and grow, you cannot donate, transfer or anything else in conjunction with the Capital One AirMiles. Frequent Flyer miles are a currency to themselves and they are recognized as a legitimate currency by the IRS.
Think of it this way, Capital One Air miles are like American currency when you travel abroad. Quite a few of the smaller countries are happy to take american currency in place of their own currency when you are making purchases. However, you cannot take American currency to the bank and start a savings account. You will not be able to make major purchases with the foreign currency. |
